Support for Chambers

Our support services are aimed solely at the legal professions and in particular barristers' Chambers as this is an area of technology support that we have many years experience in and have equipped ourselves accordingly.

We provide our services through an "IT Department" that you share with several other Chambers. This shared arrangement is tailored to the needs of smaller organisations and all the benefits of a well equipped and staffed support service without having to bear the full costs of employing, equipping and training your own staff.

Each organisation subscribes to a range of services we provide depending on its individual needs and charges are calculated based on the the number of active people in Chambers. This approach ensures Chambers only pays for the service it needs and uses and that the costs are proportional to the work involved.

In addition to the usual day to day issues of fixing PCs and maintaining network services we can also:

• Hardware repairs
  We can provide a repair service for all types of computer hardware from desktop PCs to printers, PDAs and mobile phones. We can also liase with the supplier of your hardware on your behalf and providing you with a loan PC whilst yours is being repaired.
• Provide loan/hire equipment
  We offer a range of equipment from PCs, laptops and Overhead Projectors to portable printers, DVD players and tape recorders.
• Media duplication and conversion
  We can transfer VHS CCTV footage to DVD, dictation to digital sound files and DVD to Web Streaming footage as well as duplicate most kinds of media.
• Assist in the preparation of materials for cases
  We can advise on the most efficient and effective means of working using the applications available.
• Advise on the need to instruct an expert witness
  By discussing the technology issues of a case we can advise you on the need to expert witness and areas of the case where there are important technology related issues.
• Securely and responsibly dispose of PC equipment
  Unlike many disposal companies we will backup your old PC beforehand and give you a DVD of. The PC is then securely wiped before being disposed by

Through the shared IT department approach you will also have free and exclusive access to a wide variety of resources from loan equipment to information on best-practice. You will also gain access to other products and services we offer at either substantially reduced cost.
